Literacy and Parenting Skills (LAPS) is an innovative literacy program designed to help parents build foundational learning, literacy and parenting skills. Parents learn strategies to help their children develop literacy skills while exploring parenting topics and improving their own literacy skills.
Facilitators will learn strategies for working with adult foundational learners and how to adapt LAPS sessions for their programs and community. Facilitator training usually runs for 3 days and can be taken online or in person.
